Woohoo!! 5k PR baby! Charlie was in Chicago for training so I took the boys to a tiny (1/12 mile) track and ran a million times around it and the parking lot. I wasn't even trying to be fast, but once I saw the time on my first mile I decided to go for it. Speedy!!

Beat my old PR by almost 2 minutes!

What a great day!! Owen and Eli just learned how to get started again after they stop on their bike, so we were able to go for a decent ride... 8 miles! They decided on 8 before we even began, and just like the first time they ran, they were determined to achieve their goal. It was one of my favorite family days in a long time!

My favorite hike of the week was probably the 4.1 mile hike that Charlie, Elise, Kirk and I went on to the Iron Bridge. We left from the house and hiked down to the water. We ended up hike/jogging at least half of the trail because we didn't think we'd make it to the end by the time Jeff was going to pick us up, which made it all the more fun! There were some amazing water stops along the way and the pace was just challenging enough to get a good workout. So fun! There were two dogs who hung around our vacation house and they followed us on the entire hike. We kept telling them to turn back but they didn't listen. Fat Dog and Black Dog weren't seen for the rest of the week. We aren't sure they ever made it back! : / Later that night we had a water balloon fight where Leah was the target and roasted marshmallows to make smores.

These pictures make me laugh! Soccer at this stage is basically just chasing the group with the ball in the center and an occasional breakaway goal. There's a lot of 'no, after you!' and waiting for the person who originally had the ball to continue with it, even if there's a good opportunity to steal or score. Eli was a little distracted, choosing to practice his dance moves all over the field : )

This little man is on the move! He started off doing great with the walker, then we gave him a little freedom with the stairs and now he's walking! Owen, Eli and Garrett are all in the habit of counting his steps and reporting how many he's taking and he can stand up without holding on to anything and just take off. This little fellow is less and less baby every day!

Dylan can adapt, that's for sure! He's not a big fan of crawling on the grass (or kitchen floor) and will walk on his hands and feet instead!
