Dylan and Garrett are such good little buddies. Garrett was catching him as he jumped off the step and then hugging him and encouraging him to do it again. Probably not the safest activity, but they sure had fun!

Happy 3rd Birthday Owen and Eli!!!

What a great day! Owen and Eli got to play with their friends, Abby and Jake, almost all morning, and then after naptime we went to Barnes and Nobel for their free birthday cupcake. It was hysterical - they kept yelling 'This is my first cupcake ever!!' the whole time they were eating it, even though they've had many (many!) cupcakes in their short life. They both chose the vanilla on vanilla cupcake and couldn't wait to dig in. We played with trains and then they chose to get Harold the helicopter (from Thomas) as their special birthday treat.

When we came home, Janice, Abby and Jake came back over for dinner, cake and presents. The kids had dino nuggets and grapes (dino eggs) for dinner, but saved plenty of room for dino cake!

We are so thankful for the last three years and all the adventures of raising these boys. Watching their friendship develop has been such a blessing and we are more in love with our family every day.

Our *new* twins! Charlie and I thought it would be really cool to sponsor twins through the Compassion International Ministry, but we didn't know if it was even possible. I called them up to ask and they didn't even know if it was possible, but a few weeks later a sponsor package came in the mail with two little boys - Eli and Elise! They were born March 15, 2006 and we're so excited to be able to care for them! It's extra cool too because we have an Eli (obviously!) and an Elise (my sister) in our family already! Garrett vs. Eli, just about the same age. I think they have the same nose and eyebrows, but other than that, just about everything else looks different! By this time, Owen and Eli's eyes had already turned dark brown and they only had a bit of peach fuzz for hair. I have to say that they're both pretty darn cute though : )

Garrett, Owen, then Eli, all around the same age. Thoughts on whether or not anyone looks alike? My thought is that Owen and Garrett's cheeks make them look pretty similar...
