Wrestle-Mania!

The Wizard of Oz was such a great experience! It was the junior high production at Faith this year but elementary kids could participate as munchkins and flying monkeys. There were a ton of rehearsals, especially in the two weeks leading up to the show, but it was so worth it and it was fantastic! The boys were in the munchkin band and were flying monkeys, thought they liked being monkeys a lot better than munchkins. We're so proud of them and all the kids from Faith - what a great community!!

Ha! I love finding little remnants of the boys' imagination. Clearly Jesus (from our Playmobil Nativity set) wanted to know who would win in a battle between T-Rex and Triceratops!

Sea World!

We had wanted to go on one final trip with the boys before the baby comes and tethers us to the house for awhile and Sea World seemed like the perfect solution since Owen and Eli are both in love with ocean animals right now. We didn't tell them where we were going, we just said we had a surprise for them. Once we got to the park, they saw the orcas and got really excited... but when we got into the park and lifted them up to see into the dolphin tank, they started giggling and squealing like crazy! From the Shamu and dolphin shows to the Sesame Street Bay of Play to feeding and touching the dolphins to the rides and food and family time, it was a perfect day! It may have been a lot of driving, but the memories were worth it!

We're learning about U is for Up this week, and what better way than to create our own hot air balloons! With a helium balloon from the grocery story, some yarn, a piece of paper and tape, we created hours of enjoyment. Unfortunately the strongest helium only lasts for a couple hours, but it was fun while it lasted!
