Charlie is putting these boys to work! Our garden this year is new and improved over last year and includes a built up box to keep the weeds away and increase the depth of the dirt. We're hoping to get seeds in the ground soon and start eating the fruits of our labor shortly after!

Never in a million years would I have guessed that all three of these monsters (see the quarter for comparison!) would be cucumbers!! We planted seeds (albeit too close together) for cucumbers, zucchini and cantalope and they apparently all morphed into one! The coloring and the rind is similar to a zucchini, the location was where the cantalope were and the taste was definitely cucumber! The kids loved them though and they were a delicious addition to our salads last night, so I guess it all turned out ok : )

Our garden is growing! It's so exciting to see how much bigger everything gets every day - especially when you find a bean hidden under the leaves that you didn't even know was there! We all got a bite of it - so good!

I'm officially obsessed! I thought that having a garden would be fun but I never thought I would love it this much! The boys and I all  go outside at least twice a day to check on the garden and see what is bigger day after day. I can't believe how quickly things are sprouting up - even from one day to the next. These two pictures are our sugar snap peas (top) and lettuce (bottom). Tiny still, but considering that they were both just seeds only a week ago, I'd say we're doing pretty good!
