After our full day in Fort Worth, we still headed out that evening to Grapevine (the self proclaimed Christmas Capital of Texas) for an awesome event at First Baptist Grapevine that told the Christmas story through trees, actors and a light show. Getting in the Christmas spirit : )

What a great and busy day!! It started with a field trip to the Nutcracker at Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, then we went to Salsa Limon for lunch (delicious! The Asada El Capitan was unbelievable!). From there we went to Sweet Sammie's and the Water Gardens, then came home for a quick break before heading to Grapevine. After that, a night of Qwirkle and watching the first night of the Hunger Games trilogy. Love having visitors!!

My parents are here! First stop, a hike through Wagon Wheel Park where Charlie, Owen, Eli and I will be running a 3M race on Saturday!

What a great visit with Grandma and Uncle Dan! Dan and Charlie got to go out and catch up a few times, we made some great meals, played dominoes, went trick-or-treating and to the Perot museum, they camped in the backyard, and the boys got to spend lots of time with Uncle Dan hiking, playing, going on shoulder rides and wrestling. Hope they come back soon!

These was only one night that was a possibility for camping, so Charlie, Dan and the boys took advantage of it! They made a campfire, set up the tent, roasted hot dogs and made smores and slept outside. Good thing they did it when they did, it rained almost the rest of the trip! These boys sure love Uncle Dan!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2015

 

This year's Halloween costumes were courtesy of Dylan's birthday party theme. Owen became a turtle instead of a chipmunk and all the boys got shirts and gloves to match their animal. These boys are the cutest woodland creatures I've ever met : )

Yahoo!! My dad is here for a visit!!

It ended up raining quite a bit during his visit but we still managed to fit in a lot of great things! We went bowling, he got to see opening night of the Wizard of Oz, we went on two bike rides, tried a restaurant in Grapevine that he saw last time he was here, went to Tappy's, got BBQ, saw a Rough Riders game and played around in the backyard. Four days is too short, but we'll take what we can get!
