Poor Garrett : ( He had to get two cavities filled this morning and he couldn't handle the feeling of his mouth being numb, so he cried himself to sleep in the sun spot of the playroom. Thankfully, when he woke up the feeling was back to normal, but he was a wreck!

Dear Garrett,

You are FIVE today! It doesn't seem possible that five years have already gone by and that you have turned from the baby of the family to the middle brother, stopped sucking your fingers, started correctly pronouncing countless words you used to not be able to say, graduated from preschool, and are ready to start Kindergarten! You are so sweet and sensitive, you always look out for Dylan and consider him your trusty sidekick, you love sharing with all your brothers, you're dramatic, funny and so smart. I can't wait to have you home with me next year to start school together and I can't wait to see what God has in store for you as you grow and change into a young man. But let's not think about that now! For now, five is enough!

Charlie took Owen out to breakfast one Saturday morning so I took the other three to the Coppell Farmer's Market where they met Spiderman, got fancy popsicles and played in the splash pad. Not a bad morning!

My Third Annual Mom's Breakfast at Valley Ranch Preschool! The little bits of time that I get alone with any of my boys is always so special. I love that our preschool incorporates a mom's breakfast and a dad's breakfast throughout the year for a little one-on-one time with our kids. Garner and Garrett have been in school together for the last two years and they'll be in the same class at Faith together next year. We joke that the pictures we take of them together are going in the Rehearsal Dinner slideshow someday... but I don't think we're actually joking!
