Our last picture as a family of five... we're heading to the hospital!

37 Weeks!

After all the drama of last week, I can hardly believe that this baby stayed put. Contractions have been coming, but not sticking around long enough to get ready for the hospital. I had an appointment yesterday and the baby looks great - no trauma from all my sprinting last week! His heart rate and my BP both look great, he had the hiccups while Dr. New looked at him on the ultrasound and was wiggling around the whole time. I'm officially on the schedule at the hospital for May 31st if I don't go into labor before then - only 2 weeks from now!

36 Weeks!
You'd never know it by looking at the picture, but today was quite the adventure! Click here to read more about our 'rain in the house' adventure! Long story (very!) short - I am feeling every day of my 36 weeks! Even though we're really excited to meet our little man, he can stay put until Induction Day as far as I'm concerned. I had an OB appointment on Wednesday and things are all looking great. He's (very) head down, his heartbeat is great, my BP is great and we only have two more appointments until the big day!

All that's missing is the baby!! The nursery has come together and I love how it turned out! Lots of homemade touches that made it all come together perfectly. I painted the elephants using a picture of a rug that I found online, some canvas that we already had, and three paint colors that we used in the house already (the green and white were already in this room (that was the guest room) and the tan is from Garrett's room).

Proverbs 3:21-26: 'My son, hold onto wisdom and insight. Never let them get away from you. They will provide you with life - a pleasant and happy life. You can go safely on your way and never even stumble. You will not be afraid when you go to bed and will sleep soundly through the night. The Lord will keep you safe.' I'm going to add his footprints after he's born.
Wishes for the baby from my friends at the baby shower this past weekend. Charlie and I are going to fill them out for our little man too.
The maternity pictures! I love how they turned out and especially love how they look collaged on the wall.

Oh baby! door hanger from the shower - perfect for the closet door.
Our family, represented in tiny wooden people : ) I got them for our room, but Owen and Eli are insisting that they belong in the nursery.
I can't wait to show the little man his new room!

April 29, 2012

My super sweet home group girlies threw me a baby shower this weekend - totally unexpected since this is Fox Baby Boy #4 to enter the family! It's amazing though, the things you need on your 4th baby - a new swing after Owen and Eli used Garrett's as their own; a baby monitor that gave out after using it for 2+ years, diapers (obviously!), more crib mattress pads since Garrett is still using the ones we had...

It was a tea party theme (perfect for me!) and I loved it! Thanks Amy and Rachel for such a great party for me and the little guy!

34 Weeks!

We're getting closer! I had an OB appointment this morning and the baby looks great. Heart rate was in the 140s, he's very head down and the fluid levels still look great. My BP was 120/80 - can't hope for better than that! I'm (happily) surprised that I haven't had more problems as I've gotten farther along, though I'm almost always uncomfortable these days. Hard to believe that in just a few days it'll be May - birth month!!

April 13, 2012

Hard to tell, but this is a shot of his face. Turn your head to the left. The first globular thing is his profile, the second is his chest. Doc assures me that his chin won't really be that big... I sure hope not! : )

32 Weeks!

I think this is the first photo that I can't really tell that big of a difference from a month ago. The scale is agreeing with my opinion too, since I've only gained 2-3 pounds this month! Doc says that my belly measurement is 33cm and the femur bone is measuring right on at 32 weeks. The baby is kicking like a mad man and the contractions are starting to become much more noticeable, sometimes taking my breath away, but they aren't very frequent yet. He's head down and his butt and knees are usually up under my ribs, which is pretty uncomfortable. I'm generally pretty achy, both from chasing after three kids and from the loosening of all of my joints. Needless to say, I'm counting down the days until we can meet this little man. Only a max of 7 more weeks to go!!

March 25, 2012

Just because Quattro (not his actual name, Mom!) is child #4 doesn't mean he should have to wear ALL hand-me-downs, right?! I picked up this little number for his coming home outfit - pretty much sums it up : )

My newest creation/nesting outlet! I love how it turned out and can't wait to wrap this little boy up in his snuggly new blankie. One more thing to cross off the to-do list!

28 Weeks!

My belly button is officially an outie now and I'm feeling the overwhelming urge to nest, so I guess I'm officially in the third trimester : ) I started Operation Morph Guest Room into Nursery this week, which is keeping me pretty busy. There are all sorts of artsy projects I want to paint/sew for this new baby. I saw a really cute three paneled canvas that I want to mimic for his walls and all the right materials are on sale this week at Joann to start making his lovies. I have mounds of baby clothes, carseat covers, blankets, burp cloths and sheets to wash and prepare. How is it that a person so small can fill up so many laundry baskets?! I learned my lesson the hard way with my first two pregnancies ending before I was quite prepared - not this time! My goal is to finish up everything I need to do before I'm 35 weeks - only 7 weeks to go! Gotta get a jump on things while I still have the energy to do it. Next appointment is the glucose test in about a week an a half. I'm going to try to get that silly OB to give me a normal ultrasound profile picture - no more of these random body part shots!

25 Weeks!

February 20, 2012

My OB is funny. He does an ultrasound on me during every appointment and always prints out one or two pictures for me to take home. He's not like the typical OB though, who tries to give you a solid profile picture of your growing little baby, he gives the most random angles possible. Ones that leave you turning your head trying to figure out what you're looking at. This time he gave me three pictures, this one, of Quattro's feet, a second of his forearm, and a third of the bottom of his chin. Weird, right?!

24 Weeks!

Sheesh! Big change from 4 weeks ago! I was supposed to have a prenatal appointment this week but had to reschedule because all three boys are sick. I'm feeling great (albeit, larger that I'd like) and Owen felt his brother kick for the first time yesterday. Now he thinks he should be able to feel it every time he touches my belly! Here's 24 weeks with Owen and Eli, and 24 weeks with Garrett too.

20 Weeks!
Things are looking great with this little boy! We get to see him during every appointment and everything is growing and developing just as it should. Getting bigger every day! This picture was only four weeks ago!

20 weeks with Owen and Eli. 20 weeks with Garrett

Our little boy at almost 20 weeks. You can see his face like he's looking at you on the right of the ultrasound and his little hand is in the middle of the black area. Hard to believe we're halfway through this pregnancy!

December 22, 2011

Here we go again! 16 weeks have come and gone and things are still going pretty smoothly. I was a little sick in the beginning, but nothing that wasn't manageable, and I can still sleep on my stomach at night, which I'm taking advantage of until it's not possible anymore. That's the worst part of being pregnant to me - having to sleep on my side. I can't believe I'm still wearing my regular jeans at this point - I would have thought for sure that the 3rd time around would have made me pop way sooner! This is a picture of 16 weeks with Owen and Eli, and this is a picture of 16 weeks with Garrett. Big difference!

December 21, 2011

It's a BOY! Admittedly, Charlie and I both thought this one was surely going to be a girl, but we were surprised yet again with ultrasound results. We were reliving the day that we went in for the 'gender ultrasound' the first time and came out with stunned expressions and the knowledge that we'd be having twins. Not sure news gets more shocking than that! Everything looks great so far with our little man and we get our next view of him during the 20 week appointment with the anatomy ultrasound.

Our little baby at almost 12 weeks. Doc says that he'll be able to tell us if it's a boy or a girl at the next appointment on December 19th! Merry Christmas : )

October 30, 2011

Guess what!! Baby #4 is making his/her debut on or before June 7! We heard the heartbeat last week and confirmed that there is only one baby in there. Things look great and the next appointment is in three weeks. Good thing we already have a minivan : )
