Garrett's week of swim lessons was a smashing success! I wouldn't exactly leave him alone in the pool, but he's jumping off the side and off the diving board into water he can't even stand in and swimming to the side. We're so proud of him!

Thrift store find! I loved using the Snoopy Snow Cone machine as a kid and now the boys will get to try it out too. I forgot how much manpower it takes just to grind out one snow cone!

Take me out to the ballgame! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful night to watch the Frisco Roughriders. Owen got it into his head that he needed cotton candy to complete his ballpark experience (even though he's never had it before... and we've never really talked about it either!). We bought it for them as a special treat, but true to form for Owen, he took a couple bites and then could only focus on how sticky his hands were and how badly he needed to be wiped off. I know he liked it, but just not enough to overcome the stickiness! They loved the play area and slides and especially loved watching Grandpa and Daddy through baseballs. I love the picture of Garrett and Owen pointing at the baseballs through the net.

Well Crayola, you've had a lot of good ideas over the years... but I don't think I'd list your colored bubbles up there with the others. Granted, it is washable (thank goodness!) but it's not exactly something you can pack in the diaper bag to take to the park when you have to take a bath just to get cleaned up.

And don't ask how Eli got bubbles all over his mouth... sometimes I can only wonder...

Owen and Eli are going to be water babies this summer for sure! They love to be in the pool, the baby pool especially. Good thing they love the water - I'm not sure we'd survive the 100+ degree days if they were afraid to get wet!

For $4.50 on clearance at Walmart, this Slip n Slide was a great bargain... but I'm not sure who it was for... the boys or Charlie!

It took a little while before they warmed up to the idea of playing in the water...

But they were much more interested when they saw the 'beeg boat' that they could ride! Here's the before, during and after shot of Owen on his first run down the slide. After awhile, he would wait for me to count 1, 2, 3 Go! before he would run down himself, attempting to slide. He was so excited!

If this weather keeps up, we'll be using the Slip n Slide well into the fall... it was 106 today!
