We hit the jackpot this morning!

A couple days ago I got an email through MOPS that there was going to be a charity tag sale today. All the proceeds from the sale were going to a family in that neighborhood who found out that the husband/father was diagnosed with terminal stage 3 brain cancer and given only a short time to live. He has 1 and 3 year kids and is a young guy with too much of his life still ahead of him. Because of that, so many people came out to support the cause to help the family with their expenses since he's unable to work.

My hope was to find an exersaucer for a good price, but instead we found a double jogging stroller that's in perfect condition! It has a 'sunroof' and the seatbacks can recline all the way back. We also found a play mat with tons of toys attached above and a portable wipe warmer for the car. Granted, I think that wipe warmers are for sissies, but when we're driving home for Christmas and Thanksgiving, it would be a rude awakening to use an ice cold wipe on those baby sized butts! I had to cut them a break when I saw it : )

Anyway, we got the whole shebang for $75! The stroller alone retails used for about $175. We might have been able to get everything a little cheaper, but it was for a great cause and we wanted to help out as much as we could. I actually can't believe we had that much cash on us!

After that, we went to Stew's for Apple Cidar donuts and came back home for a late morning breakfast and to finish our date night movie (since we both crashed out around 9:30 - pathetic date night, I know, but we were desperate for sleep! I'm sure most of you can relate.)

I'm heading out for Girls Night tonight and Charlie is staying home for a 'Guys Night In.' He wanted to know if we had any sports themed onesies... how cute is that?! Pictures, I'm sure, will follow.
