While we were home for Thanksgiving, Charlie and I had Owen and Eli baptized at our home church, Bellefield Presbyterian. Charlie was on the committee to help hire Pastor Geoff and, though we weren't around long after he started preaching, Charlie has always felt a strong sense of admiration and respect for him, so it was fitting and exciting that he could be the one to baptize the boys. The boys didn't feel the same way. I'm sure that it was partly because we woke them up from their nap and partly because they had three palmfuls of water poured on their head, but they were screaming! The best was that Pastor Geoff was miked, so when he would hold the boys they were screaming into the microphone (which was deafening!). I'm glad that we had the whole thing video taped because I couldn't hear a word that was said. They sure looked cute in their little polo shirts and cords though... you can dress them up but you can't take them out!
