January 23, 2009

Happy Birthday to me! I started the day off with the utmost in depressing activities - making my own birthday cake. This is the first year of my life that I haven't been home for my birthday so my mom could make my cake, but I can't have a birthday without Black Forest Cherry Cake, so I went to work making it myself. It turned out pretty good too!

Charlie came home from work early with multi-colored roses (that were beautiful!), a card, sour patch kids and a new CD of a Christian artist that he heard on the radio. Then we headed towards Plano for dinner. We started with Sushi appetizers (that I hadn't had since before I was pregnant) and then to Red, Hot and Blue for dinner. I know it's a chain, but I was jonesin' for some ribs... and it was GOOD.

We came home, got the boys ready for bed and had a piece of cake (or two!). We might not have been near family for the first time, but it was still a great birthday!

Happy birthday, Beth! I'd never seen your blog before, so this is great! Can't believe you guys are in Texas already. Your boys are getting big and looking so cute. Thanks for passing on your new contact info.

Hiya Beth! Great post! When AJ saw the boys he said "MY boys. My My My boys!" haha! So funny. They're looking more alike now, huh? That cake looked delicious too! Glad to see you enjoyed your day! xoxo

Happy Birthday!!! Sounds like it was a lot of fun! Sushi...mmmmmm....I'd give anything for some sushi right about now (I'm pregnant though, so I'm not allowed...darnit). Glad you had a great day! Can't wait to get together:-)
