Dinnertime! We've started a routine of feeding the boys rice cereal after they wake up from their afternoon nap, then having them sit at the table with us while we eat dinner. Then it's on to bathtime and bedtime. There's really not much time for anything else in the evenings these days. They are getting better at sitting in their seats and occupying themselves while we eat, and I think it's actually making them more interested in table food too, because they are starting to watch us eat and check out the food that we have. To be a fly on the wall of our dining room, you'd hear something like this:
"What's mommy eating? This is how you open your mouth! See... food goes in like this... then you chew it up and swallow! It's FUN!"
Wow - how times have changed from the normal 'how was your day' conversation that we used to have!
"Hey Owen, toss me one of those toys... I dropped mine."
