Opening Day of the Mesquite Rodeo was April 3rd, and we had front row seats for the action! We started the evening with an amazing Tex-Mex dinner at Pappasito's, then headed towards the show. They had bull riding, bucking broncos, cowboy poker (which is basically four guys sitting at a 'poker table' in the middle of the arena, waiting for the bull to be released. From there, it's a game of chicken - the last cowboy sitting is the winner. Crazy!), chuckwagon races and lasso shows. Owen and Eli were very cooperative too - and loved all the action (as you can see in the third picture with Owen sucking his thumb watching the show)!
