Cake! We celebrated the boys' first birthday while we were at the beach with my family (even though they won't be one until the 30th) and made the coolest cake! The croco-dragon cake started as a bundt cake and morphed into the cutest serpent we've ever eaten.
We're asked all the time if the boys have different temperaments, and we can now say without a doubt that they do. Owen dug into the cake the second we put it in front of him. He would fill his hands with frosting, lick it all off and go back for more. Once the frosting was gone, he picked up the whole piece of cake and shoved it in his mouth. Eli, on the other hand, wouldn't even open his mouth for a lick and wouldn't take a single bite unless it was on a fork. So polite! He wasn't all that interested after the first few bites either. I guess Owen has the sweet tooth in the family, just like his mom!
