HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
This was the first year (other than when I studied abroad) that I haven't been home for Thanksgiving. Thankfully, Elise and Kirk were here and we could celebrate together. We made everything ourselves! Turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole with a pecan topping, corn with bacon, fresh rolls (which did end up coming out eventually!), gravy, cranberry chutney and pumpkin pie. What a feast! We altered it a little with sweet potato fries for the kiddos, which they loved. Our goal for the meal was for us all to get to eat hot food and we succeeded! We were even able to go around the table and say what we were thankful for. Blake's answer was 'cousins.' : )
