Check out what I made! I used a shipping box, velcro and sheets of colored foam to make a shape and color matching game for the boys. I wouldn't have bothered with the velcro but they really like the lock-in-place element of puzzles and try to push things into place all the time, so I knew that they would be more interested in this if the pieces stuck where they belonged. I made each of the six rainbow colors in circle, square and triangle shapes, but I'm only giving them one color at a time. Once they 'get it' I'm going to color in the shapes with corresponding marker colors so they can match both the color and the shape. They were surprisingly good at this, especially Eli... and they loved the sound of the velcro too. Homerun, and it cost less than $5 to make!
