This is MonkeyBoy, Owen's beloved bedtime buddy. Well, that's a lie. MonkeyBoy is a beloved all-day buddy. He was originally found at my parent's house last June and I think it was a present for my nephew for the previous Christmas. Owen found him and was immediately attached. He usually holds him around the neck with one hand and twirls the tag between his thumb and index finger with the other hand [note the state of the tag]. I realized that we're going to be in trouble if/when something happens to MonkeyBoy when Owen was (lovingly) biting his face and pulled the mouth string out a little. He was terrified! He was walking around saying 'e-e, e-e-e, oh no oh no' over and over again. (That's his way of saying monkey). I figured out how to fix the thread (thankfully!) because the fact that he looked like he'd had a stroke was enough to send Owen over the edge. I'm praying that MonkeyBoy still has a long life ahead of him, but the outlook is grim at this point!
