Swim Lessons!
I have to admit, when I saw that the goals for the week were that the boys would be jumping off the diving board, bobbing in the deep end and swimming to the side solo, I was a bit skeptical. During observation night we saw some amazing results! Owen was definitely more hesitant and cried a few times, but he was mostly compliant and showed us that he could do what Ginny was asking him to do. Eli loved leaping off the board and the side and seems pretty comfortable in the water. Since then we have been to the pool almost every day and they are both gaining so much confidence every day. They both do much better when they are allowed to wear their goggles (which they weren't allowed to do for lessons). They are both at the point now where they want us to 'boost them down' to the bottom to pick up toys with their hands, they both jump from the side and can both swim themselves back. Way to go boys!!
Ice cream cones for a job well done - even for Garrett for watching the last lesson so patiently : )
