Charlie and his friend Rob competed in their first ever sprint triathlon in Austin this weekend. It included a 4 mile run (split into two parts), a 6 mile mountain bike portion and a 200m swim across the lake. We were able to watch them from several different points along the course to cheer them on! The race was at a Christian camp outside of Austin and we got to rough it in a cabin for the night. The kids loved getting dirty and cheering on their daddies and they all participated in the Fun Run too. What kid doesn't love getting a medal?! Side note: the kids' medals said 2004 on them because they were leftover from the last sprint tri that the camp hosted : ) I think we're all a little more addicted to racing, getting dirty and being outside because of this trip! Charlie placed 3rd in his age group and 7th overall! Great job Skip! I'm so proud of you!!
